Trevor Johnson

A dedicated entrepreneur, Trevor Johnson started his first company directly out of high school, opening up a number of opportunities. From starting a painting company in college to creating one of Seattle's premier home building organizations, Trevor has been progressively improving the homes in the Puget Sound region for over 30 years.

Lifelong friends, Aaron Mounsey and Trevor Johnson owned separate painting and contracting companies and were consistently working together on various jobs. In 2014, they joined forces and established Blackwood, initially operating from a small warehouse with only six employees and delivering four homes during that first year. Their shared vision was to address the unmet demand for well-designed, high-quality housing that met the needs of Seattle's growing, diverse population. As housing demands have risen, Blackwood has expanded to become a company with over 50 employees, delivering more than 100 homes annually.
