Tadashi Shiga is a third-generation Seattleite, award-winning sustainability leader, and trusted advisor with over 30 years of experience in land acquisition, development strategy, and community-focused real estate.
As co-founder of Realtie, a pioneering AI-driven real estate platform, Tadashi is at the forefront of transforming how developers, brokers, and city officials identify and capitalize on off-market redevelopment opportunities. Realtie has been recognized by GeekWire as one of Seattle’s up-and-coming tech companies, particularly for its innovative approach in leveraging legislative changes like Washington’s House Bill 1110 to promote the development of “middle housing” in residential areas.
In his role as Vice President of the Land Division at Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR), Tadashi leads a dedicated team that has been instrumental in shaping some of the Pacific Northwest’s most impactful residential projects. His work involves close collaboration with builders, architects, and city officials to align visionary concepts with practical viability, guiding projects from land acquisition through entitlement, design, and marketing.
Previously, Tadashi founded Evergreen Certified, a trailblazing consultancy that played a significant role in institutionalizing green building practices throughout the region. Under his leadership, the firm received multiple accolades from the Master Builders Association, including the 2021 “Market Maker,” 2020 and 2013 Green Hammer Awards, and the 2018 “Pioneer Award.” His contributions to sustainable development were further recognized in 2019 when he was inducted into the University of Washington Bothell’s Alumni Hall of Excellence and appointed to the Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences Advisory Board.
Tadashi’s expertise lies in translating complex market dynamics and policy shifts into actionable strategies. With a deep understanding of building science, strong regional ties, and a commitment to fostering inclusive communities, he continues to build bridges between visionary ideas and tangible impact—one neighborhood at a time.
