Ofer Avnery

Ofer Avnery is the founder and CEO of Real Wave, a Redmond-based AI and development firm leveraging artificial intelligence to identify underutilized land and accelerate smarter urban growth. A computer scientist and former software entrepreneur, Avnery moved from Israel to Seattle in 2011 after selling his business intelligence company, HighView, to a publicly traded tech firm.

Blending his background in data science with a passion for housing innovation, Avnery built a proprietary AI platform that correctly anticipated Seattle’s landmark zoning reforms under the Housing Affordability and Livability Agenda (HALA). This strategy led to the acquisition of nearly $30 million in upzoned properties and the creation of the Z Seattle housing brand—energy-efficient homes and multifamily projects designed for modern urban living.

In 2025, Avnery co-founded the Realtie platform with real estate expert Tadashi Shiga. The platform is now used by brokers and developers across the Sotheby’s International Realty network to analyze zoning potential in real time.
